July 9 Last day for new degree petitions for all candidates, and approved programs of study for master's candidates to be received by the Registrar's Office for December commencement. Departmental deadlines may vary. Check with your major school. July 12 Cross-registration deadline for Fall Term 2008. July 16 Undergraduate Curriculum Committee meeting- Academic Matters. July 9 - 22 Early Registration (Phase I) for Fall Term 2008. August 6 Undergraduate Curriculum Committee meeting- Student Petitions. August 13 - 22 Late Registration (Phase II) and schedule changes for Fall Term 2008 (drop courses without a "W" grade). Registration closes at 4:00 pm ET. August 15 Last day to pay fees without penalty. August 18 Classes begin - Fall Term 2008. August 18 Undergraduate Curriculum Committee meeting- Student Petitions. August 22 Last day to register and/or make schedule changes. Registration closes at 4:00 pm ET. August 22 All fees due by 4:00 pm ET. Late fees apply. August 22 Last day for reactivation of degree petitions to be received by the Registrar's Office for December commencement. September 1 Official school holiday. September 26 Progress Report grades due (1000 & 2000 level courses only). October 1 Deadline for readmission applications for Spring 2009 for students with an academic standing of drop or review. All other readmissions see December 1. October 11 - 14 Fall 2008 Student Recess. October 10 Last day to drop individual courses(s) with a grade of "w. October 10 Last day to apply for grade substitution. October 22 Spring Term 2009 schedule of classes data available on the web. December 13 Commencement Undergraduate - College of Engineering 2:00 pm ET at the Alexander Memorial Coliseum. December 13 End of Term. December 15 All grades must be entered on-line by 12 noon.
