Course Descriptions

The Registrar's Office only has course descriptions and does not have access to course syllabi. Academic departments, in some cases, have access to that information.

Catalog descriptions for courses available Summer 1996 and later can be viewed on the web at https://oscar.gatech.edu/pls/bprod/bwckctlg.p_disp_dyn_ctlg. Select the term and then the subject.

If the description is not there, or if a course is from a term prior to Summer 1996, a written request is required. The request should include a full name, the course name, number and term (ex: ENGL 1001 Fall 1986), a signature, and an address to mail the information. We will copy the description(s), attach a letter of authenticity, and mail the information to the address provided. The request should be faxed to 404-894-0167, or mailed to:
