Withdrawal and Individual Course DropsIndividual Course DropsThe Georgia Institute of Technology has one deadline for individual course drops and a different deadline for complete withdrawals from school. See the Official School Calendar for the term for dates.
How to Drop a Course(s)Any student who wishes to drop a course must do so using the WEB Student Access System. Only options that are currently available are presented when the arrow on the "ACTION" pull down menu is clicked. The course will remain on the student's schedule with a status of "course drop by student". A grade of "W" will be assigned for the dropped course(s) at the end of the term.

How to Withdraw From SchoolAny student, with the exception of active duty U.S. Military, who wishes to withdraw from school must do so using the WEB Student Access System. Only options that are currently available are presented when the arrow on the "ACTION" pull down menu is clicked. The course will remain on the student's schedule with a status of "withdraw from school". A grade of "W" will be assigned for all course(s) at the end of the term.
![]() Military WithdrawalStudents who have been called to active duty in the United States Military and wish to withdraw from school will need to provide the following documentation to the Registrar's Office:
The documents should be submitted to the Registrar’s Office
in room 104 of the Tech Tower (Administration Building), faxed to
404-894-0167,
or mailed to: The student will receive the appropriate refund and his/her schedule will be deleted. No “W” grades will be posted to the student's academic record. |
